Where can I buy a set of Karuta cards in my country?
It is difficult to find Ogura-Hyakunin Isshu Karuta cards outside Japan.
Sometimes you find online shops, but they are very expensive.
And usually they are not the cards used in the official competition in Japan, althought they all look similar.
The easiest and probably the cheapest way is to order online at the Ohishi-Tengudo.
Ohishi-Tengudo based in Kyoto, Japan is a karuta manufacture established in 1800, more than 200 years ago!
It acceps orders from foreign countries.

The official card is called Standard Recitation (Yomi-fuda) & Floor Cards (Tori-fuda)
The playing card set (Tori-fuda) and the Reading (Yomi-fuda) cards can be bought separetely, too.

there are cheper model from Nintendo. Did you know Nintendo started the business
as a Karuta cards manufacture in the 19th Century?
